About Me

My photo
Vuyani Ntozini
I am digital marketer by profession and a photographer when I’m not scheming ways to sell stuff to unsuspecting consumers, oh and I am yet to name my camera. So one day while at college I decided that I was tired of having the student syndrome of being consistently broke (it’s a real condition), so I got a part-time job and I started waiting tables at a restaurant in my neighborhood. After 4 months of savings I bought my first D.S.L.R camera and so my love for photography began. A year on I'm still smitten and quite a trigger happy chappy. Street photography is an unscripted documentation of us as people and our surroundings at a moment, a time, a period. At least that’s my definition of street photography anyway. I do enjoy other forms of photography but why I prefer street over the other types is because it’s unpoised and unpretentious, it’s a real representation of a moment in time and that has always intrigued me. But really why I love it is because I don’t have to spend money and time for a studio or go around fiddling with lights, with street photography you just whip it out and voila, Bob is your uncle, there is a lot more to it than that though.
